• Music Therapy Offers Life Enrichment

  • Most people enjoy listening to music, and many people love to sing or play an instrument. But the power of music goes beyond mere enjoyment. Music is a tool that can be used to calm anxiety, provide comfort, and even assist with pain management. At Paradigm Health, we believe in caring for the whole person, and that’s why music therapy is one of the services we offer to enrich the day-to-day quality of our patients and caregivers.

Music Therapy is part of Paradigm Health’s hospice life enrichment program. This group of life enrichment services compliments the clinical side of hospice care, with the goal of providing life enrichment programs that embrace the patient and their family. We want our patients to be able to make the most of today.

Music therapy doesn’t just support the patient; it can be helpful for the entire family. Music can create a bond and a shared memory for patients and their loved ones. Some music therapists at Paradigm Health have even helped write a song with a patient that was left for the family as a piece of themselves. This provides a beautiful legacy, and allows the patient to leave an incredibly special gift to the ones they love.

At Paradigm Health, we are fortunate to have three amazing Certified Music Therapists on our staff. Our music therapy team is incredibly skilled at using their talents to bring comfort to their patients. But beyond that, they are also dedicated and caring staff members who truly love what they do. We are so blessed to have them as part of our care team!

Hospice care isn’t just about medications or treatments; it’s about maintaining a high quality of life for the patient. Music therapy is just one way that  Paradigm Health makes sure each and that every day has meaning.
